Leeds Community-Led Housing Hub Launch

You are invited to the official launch of Leeds Community Homes' Community-Led Housing Hub on Wednesday 31st January 2018.

31st January is the anniversary of the successful community share issue, which raised £360,000 to build the first affordable, people powered homes.

The event will be hosted at a new space in Leeds which will be the Hub for groups in Leeds City Region who are doing or want to do community led housing projects.

Climate Change: The good, the bad and the ugly

Leeds Climate Forum: open consultation on a low carbon strategy for Leeds

Leeds groups help inform study on cost of living and net zero

How do people interpret and engage with different messages regarding cost of living increases and net zero transitions? Two University of Leeds academics ran discussion groups with citizens from economically disadvantaged communities, disabled and minority ethnic groups in Leeds and Halifax and shared their findings with the Leeds Climate Commission. 

Leeds Flood Alleviation Scheme marks five-year anniversary

Leeds residents urged to take part in city-wide tree planting project

Leeds City Council is once again encouraging residents to get involved in an annual seed collection to help with the ambitious target of planting 5.8m trees over 25 years across the city.

In a bid to tackle the climate emergency, people of all ages are being asked to get involved with the Seed Collection 2022 programme, which is running throughout autumn for the third year.

Leeds flies flag as Tree City of the World

Call for Leeds organisations to share views on heat usage for pilot study with BEIS

Leeds City Council is working with Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to be a pilot city of the government’s Heat Network Zoning project. 

The Council are now looking for organisations anywhere in Leeds who want to find out more about this policy to share their views and heat usage information by completing a short online survey which can be accessed via the virtual engagement room.
