Do you want to do something to help tackle climate change? Leeds Climate Commission is a city-wide partnership enabling climate action and we are looking for people with a positive, can-do attitude to help us do that.

The partnership, which brings together the public, private and third sector, working together on a voluntary basis, is a UK first. The Commission launched in September 2017 and the initial phase comes to an end in December 2018. For us to continue the good start we've made, we are looking to refresh our membership for the next phase, which runs from January to December 2019.

We welcome applications from representatives from businesses, organisations, charities and community/voluntary groups and from public sector services who feel they can add value and identify synergies with ongoing work across the city.

Members of the Commission are appointed on an individual basis (ie not as representatives of their company or organisation) but senior-level authorisation from within their place of work is preferred.

Please read the joining information and Terms of Reference (in downloads below) before completing the application form.

Please complete the application form and send your CV to Margo Hanson (m.hanson@leeds.ac.uk) by Friday 2 November 2018. Applications will be reviewed by a panel in late November.

For more information about the work of  the Commission, go to About Leeds Climate Commission and check out the pages on the working groups.
