Board level briefing: developing and securing finance for low carbon energy projects’

Tuesday, 29 January, 2019 - 08:00 to 09:00
Meeting Room Suite 3, Merrion House, Leeds LS2 8PD

Are you from a medium-sized commercial or industrial Leeds-based organisation interested in carrying out cost-effective energy saving and small-scale renewable projects?

Does your organisation want to know more about how these low-carbon projects can be profitable and make business sense?

Would your organisation benefit from support to help your employees develop project ideas, prepare a business case for board-level approval, or connect to potential sources of finance?

Leeds Climate Commission is holding a board-level briefing event for directors/senior managers of companies with 50-250 employees interested in seeing how their business can benefit from transitioning to low carbon measures.

The briefing, which includes refreshments, will:

  • explain how implementing energy saving and small-scale renewable projects can be profitable and make business sense;
  • demonstrate how other organisations in the city have benefitted from the transition to low-carbon;
  • outline our forthcoming programme of free capacity building workshops aimed at helping employees to develop project ideas, prepare a business case for board level approval, or secure project finance.
